Bob Wright of the Wright Institute spoke on Life Purpose. Those who get the most done are the ones with purpose. In an ideal state we have energy, stability, team orientation, financial rewards, respect, are ethical, productive, have a management that supports us, and we are buyers.

We are only in the ideal state some of the time. Sometimes we are procrastinating, unproductive, energy less, lost. In our present state, we deal with highs and lows, we take detours because we become unfocused.

The productive successful among us learn from our mistakes. We recognized that the pathway is a detour and we correct the detour. We regain focus. Applying this to transition means that we must maintain a buyers mentality all the while trying to sell our value to prospective employers. Relative to dialing for dollars, we may need to have 100 phone calls or e-mails to gain 100 face to face meetings to get ten real interviews and three offers. All this while we need to remain positive, focused, and value driven as a buyer.

Others will see this value and offer us opportunities.
